NO FCRA USE. This privately run website is not affiliated with any government body and is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act decisions.
1. What This Website Is
This is an independent reference site. It does not store government criminal records, conduct official checks, issue certified copies, or file documents.
Its purpose is to route readers toward Jackson County and Wisconsin sources, such as the sheriff, Circuit Court clerk, Wisconsin DOJ Crime Information Bureau, and Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry, plus outside search services that may support personal research.
2. Rules for Using This Site
You agree not to:
- Violate federal, Wisconsin, or local law
- Stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass any person
- Use content in a credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision
- Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
- Run scrapers, bots, or other automated collection tools
- Interfere with the website or another visitor's access
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information found here or through a linked service may not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Wisconsin registry data deserves special care. Wis. Stat. §§ 301.45–301.46 establish registration and disclosure rules, and the state portal warns that crimes against a registrant, family, or associated person can be prosecuted. Public access supports safety awareness, not vigilantism.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We do not create credit reports, background checks, or other consumer reports and are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Neither our content nor a linked partner tool may be used to:
- Make a hiring or termination decision
- Evaluate a renter or housing application
- Set credit terms or insurance eligibility
- Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
- Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose
A legally authorized screening process must use an official or FCRA-compliant provider appropriate to that purpose.
5. No Legal Advice
Nothing published here is legal advice. General descriptions of Jackson County records, Wisconsin Public Records Law at Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31–19.39, criminal-history reporting under Wis. Stat. §§ 165.83–165.84, or expungement under Wis. Stat. § 973.015 cannot resolve an individual case. Consult a licensed Wisconsin attorney for advice.
6. No Warranties
The website is provided "as is." We do not warrant that:
- Information is always complete, accurate, or current
- Service will remain uninterrupted
- Pages will be free from errors or security flaws
- Partner search results will be complete or correctly matched
Records can change through new filings, corrections, restrictions, or expungement. Confirm any material fact with the Jackson County or Wisconsin office that maintains the original.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links may lead to government portals, legal resources, and commercial search services beyond our control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, fees, security, or data practices. Their terms apply after a visitor leaves this website.
8. Intellectual Property
Text, graphics, logos, and code on this website belong to Jackson County Criminal History or the relevant content partner. They may not be copied, changed, redistributed, or adapted without prior written permission.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for harm arising from use of this website, reliance on its content, or use of a linked service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, proceedings, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the website or violation of these terms.
11. Governing Law
Wisconsin law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from website use must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Wisconsin.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms. A new version takes effect when posted and governs later use of the website.
13. Cutting Off Access
We may suspend or block access at any time, with or without notice, including when use threatens the service or violates these terms.
14. Severability
If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term is limited only as much as necessary.
15. Questions
Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
